Privacy policy
Email policy and your privacy:
We take our customers' privacy very seriously. Please help us to assure your
privacy by letting us know if you would prefer to be contacted at a different
email address (or not at all). We have had only a few in our history ask us
not to contact them (they got married or entered a new relationship with shared
email, for instance). In response to this we maintain a No Contact list, which
we use to prevent your hearing from us if we do a mailing to people who emailed
inquiries in the past. We never send unsolicited email; we send email only
to people who have contacted us first. In no case will your name or email address
or
any information about you leave the
company
or
be
shared
with any third party. If you do not want to be contacted in future, simply
send us an email and type "No Contact" in the subject line. If you
receive multiple copies of this email it is because you wrote us in the past
using multiple
addresses. Simply reply to each email as described above and we will put each
address on our No Contact list.
Phone policy and your privacy:
We also protect your privacy by phone. That's why we have no outgoing message
on our voicemail (in case your wife or girlfriend is doing your laundry and
finds our phone number in your pockets, for instance). We never identify the
company when answering the phone. If someone doesn't know why they are calling
us, we don't offer any information. If you leave us a message and ask us to
return your call, we will speak only to you. If someone else answers, we identify
ourselves only by first name and say that we will call back later. We feel it
is entirely up to you whether or not, or to what extent, you share your interest
in our product with your partner.
Billing information policy
and your privacy:
In order to provide Internet billing services, Mimicon must collect, use, and
share certain information about you. This policy explains what we collect, who
we share it with, and how you can contact Mimicon in order to ensure the accuracy
of the data we collect, use, and share.
The information Mimicon collects from you helps us better serve you by continually updating the electronic payment services Mimicon provides. The data that Mimicon collects and maintains is as follows:
Information that you provide
to us:
Mimicon receives and stores all information that you enter on our order form
(at the end of this Catalogue). This includes:
1. Your e-mail address, credit card number, expiration date, first name, last name, address, city, state, zip, country, and your agreement to be bound by Mimicon terms and conditions.
2. Your credit card information is not kept once the transaction is complete.
Information that we automatically
receive:
Mimicon receives and stores certain information whenever you download web pages,
or send us e-mail or forms. For example:
1. We identify the numerical IP address assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider.
2. E-mail Correspondence - Mimicon often requests a confirmation when you receive and open an e-mail communication delivered by Mimicon. We archive all e-mail sent in and out of our network, and we identify the origination IP address of all e-mail sent into our network. We require that you refrain from "forging headers" or sending "SPAM".
Information from third parties:
From time to time, Mimicon requests and receives information from third parties
and compares it to the information that you have provided. The main purpose
for this is loss prevention.
PROTECTION OF YOUR PRIVACY
Mimicon will release data only when we believe the release is appropriate to comply with the law, or to enforce our Agreement.
It is your obligation to provide Mimicon with accurate and up-to-date information, and failure to provide us with such information could void an Agreement between you and Mimicon (for example, in a Lay-away Payment Plan for a discounted product for which you have chosen to make regular payments by credit card; if we cannot bill your card or ship your product, you may lose the benefit of the discount offer, but you will still have the benefit of any credit you have built with Mimicon). We use the information that you provide for such purposes as processing your purchase request, responding to customer service inquiries, loss prevention, improving our service, and communicating with you. Mimicon employees have access to your information on a need-to-know basis. Mimicon WILL NOT SELL your information to a third party for any reason.
In addition, Mimicon, as part of the credit card processing system, must provide limited information to the services that connect it to the companies that perform the banking functions. The credit card associations have strict privacy rules that these companies must adhere to in order to be authorized to receive and process credit card transactions. Mimicon WILL NEVER provide your information outside of this system.
Mimicon employs the latest and best techniques available for protecting its systems from intrusion by unauthorized individuals, and is constantly upgrading its security as better methods become available. All information is stored behind firewalls and other sophisticated security systems. Our data centre utilizes state-of-the-art physical security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the facility.
Mimicon does not request, or knowingly collect identifiable information from children under the age of 18. Mimicon does not knowingly use or share personal information from users under the age of 18 with third parties. Mimicon does not offer children any promotions involving games, prizes, or any other activity that would induce a child to divulge personal information.

We will occasionally update our privacy policy and we will post those updates on this page. You are responsible for revisiting this page to review our privacy policy updates.
